Chano Dominguez Sextet

"An evening of sheer poetry", wrote the New York Times' critic after the performance of Chano Dominguez and his group in New York in May 2009. Dominguez is a genius pianist combining traditional jazz with flamenco in a very innovative and persuasive manner. He plays Thelonious Monk and Bill Evans and mixes Cuban son with Paco de Lucia's music. Last year he released a CD with Paquito de Rivera who is also the festival guest.

The singer Blas Cordoba and the dancer Tomasito often steal the show with their movements, improvisation and hand clapping.
